WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT —
Proactive recovery for accelerated healing
If you’re not returning to your previous best…it’s not because you’re not training hard enough.
I’ve seen most physios and S&C coaches prescribe lengthy periods of rest — before a surgery, after an operation and after injury. They prefer to wait until certain milestones are reached before introducing weight to the affected area.
Recovery turns into a waiting game. And this isn’t conducive to long-term recovery.
Why? As your body gets sucked into compensatory patterns, new issues arise — you're back to square one at your next therapy session.
Your road back from injury shouldn’t be static. Or passive. Or boring.
At Move Better Rehab, you’ll be encouraged to load earlier than you’d usually expect, so your body doesn’t just get used to having the injury.
This is so you’ll:
Stimulate tissue healing
Maintain joint mobility
Avoid stiffness and weakness
Restore previous function and movement (and often improve it!)
Prevent compensatory patterns from developing
Minimise the risk of exacerbating the injury
Through controlled movement and progressive exercise, your strength and mobility will be restored (while minimising re-injury risk too).
ABOUT —
I’m Ollie Brown,
founder of Move Better Rehab
I created the business in 2022 after working at London Irish and physio clinics.
After going to physio clinics myself when I have been injured I found out that all the exercises you are given are the same as the person before you.
None of the process was personable or specific to me or my goals.
I wanted to make people enjoy the rehab and prehab process as much as me.
And not only recover from their issues, but learn about them and how to prevent them in the future.
Faster recovery & a personable service
— Annette: championship rugby player & Chief Operations Officer
“I wanted someone to make me accountable for my ACL rehab, to make sure I was progressing in the right time frames and someone who could be critical of my form.
Previously, I was doing post-surgical rehab that I could do at home like leg extension, leg flexion, use of compex and cryocuff.
But I wanted to make sure I was pushed without pushing myself too quickly.
I looked into some larger companies but wanted a more personal service.
Working with Ollie through my ACL rehab has made the whole process 100x more enjoyable and less intimidating than navigating it on my own. I am 30 weeks pregnant now and still strength training in the gym - my knee feels super strong!”

CASE STUDY —
Meet tennis pro, Josie. But chronic hip & lower back pain stopped her playing at the highest level.
With Josie’s previous therapists, she wasn’t given proper diagnosis. They only gave her a plan of action, recommending she stopped playing professional tennis, and rest.
After each round of treatment, the pain would keep coming back.
But then she started going to sessions with Move Better Rehab.
“With Ollie, we began movement right away with strengthening exercises, specific movement mechanics, using testing equipment to identify asymmetries and weaknesses. And he used soft tissue treatment occasionally to assist with tight areas of the body.
This different style of rehabilitation allowed me to return to the top level with no pain and no recurring issues.'“
We’ve found that our clients are more proactive if they understand the diagnosis.
They are more likely to buy-in to solutions to fix themselves, rather than being passive in the recovery process.
And that means recovery plans are carried out in full, not left by the wayside (because there’s minimal understanding of how those exercises are actually helping).
With Move Better Rehab, you can get a better understanding of what's happened and what you can do to fix the problem.
